I’m very happy to say that 100 ACRE FILMS won two Telly awards this past year for some of it’s work. Both projects were really fun to work on, and we did them for 2 of my favorite clients – Qualcomm and General Dynamics NASSCO. You can find both these clips below as well as on the WORK page of our website – just click the WORK tab above. You’ll also find other samples of our work there.
The video for Qualcomm was to help in their recruitment of interns. I had a lot of fun working on this as I got to spend time at Sea World, East Village Tavern and Bowl, as well as some other fun places. After hearing about how great the Qualcomm intern program is, I wouldn’t mind going back to school just to be a part of it.
Also, 100 ACRE FILMS won for it’s tribute video for the launching of the USNS Wally Schirra. NASSCO called on us to create a video for the dinner ceremony the night before the launch to highlight the career of astronaut Wally Schirra. This project was something that meant a lot to me. As a child, I wanted to be an astronaut, and all the brave men and women who take on the challenge and danger of space exploration are heroes to me. At the dinner, I had the privilege of meeting many former and current astronauts included Jim Lovell, commander of Apollo 13. It was a special night, and 100 ACRE FILMS was proud to have contributed. NASA provided hours of interview footage and archival footage from Wally’s training and active astronaut time. It was edited into the video below.
Do you have a story you need told? Is there a message you need to communicate? Let 100 ACRE FILMS, one of San Diego’s finest production companies, help you realize your vision. Maybe we’ll be posting your award winning video next year.
